Darjeeling Adventure Tourism’s officials will welcome you on your arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport. Then your journey towards Kalimpong will start. It is a 3 hours journey to cover the distance of 72.5 km. Kalimpong situated at the proximity of the old silk route at an elevation of 4079 ft. On your journey you will experience mesmerising view of lofty green mountains and roaring and dancing River Teesta. On your way by the side of Teesta you can stop for a while to offer a short prayer in Sevoke Kalibari (temple of goddess Kali). It is a nice way to start the uphill trip. After reaching Kalimpong check into the hotel room already reserved for you. The rest of the day is exclusively yours. You can take a stroll in an around the local market for relics and handicrafts or visit any nursery or else taste some tongue tickling local delicacies. You may also get absorbed in surrounding nature to find your own self. Stay overnight at Kalimpong.

After breakfast at hotel go for your local half day sightseeing of Durpin Dnara. The local word Durpin is synonymous to binocular and Dnara means hill top. Together it means a hilltop from where you can see far away. There is a Tibetan monastery located on the Durpin Dnara, Durpin Monastery. From the upper terrace of the monastery, you get magnificent views of Kalimpong town with Kanchenjunga in the background, the valley and the plains, Teesta & Reang Rivers flowing down, and lovely tea estates of Peshoke area. Pine view Cactus Nursery has a great collection of cactus and ornamental plants will be your next destination. You get a great view of Kalimpong town from the backside lawn. Next you will be visiting Mangal Dham a temple complex built in the memory of late Guruji Mangal Dasji and dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Another attraction of Kalimpong is Dr. Graham’s Home. This missionary school was set up by Dr. J A Graham in 1900 as an orphanage cum school for the destitute Anglo Indian children. It is located on the way to Deolo Hills and you can walk across to various parts of the school. Deolo is an 8-acre lush parkland with manicured flower gardens and several view points with breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga. There is one Hanuman Mandir (Temple) situated on the hill. You can take a short hike towards the temple to witness mesmerising and breathtaking view of world’s 3rd highest peak Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,169 ft) in its full glory on a sunny day. You can get a clear view of the neighbouring state Sikkim and the surrounding landscapes of lava and Kafer hills.

Then have your lunch at hotel. You are free for rest of the day. You can take rest at hotel room or else you can explore the locality of Kalimpong town. Stay overnight at Kalimpong.

Have early breakfast at hotel and checkout for Darjeeling, ‘The Queen of the hills’. You will have to cover 65 km, that may take 2 ½ - 3 hours time. On the way witness lush green forests and tea gardens and have few glimpses of river Teesta as well as river Rangeet. You may take a pause at the view point of 'Lovers Meet' to witness the confluence of river Teesta and Rangeet.

There is a small picturesque village called Lamahata situated on the foothills of Pine forest. Here you can experience silence and beauty of Nature. Seductive garden, watch tower, beautiful blossoms of orchids, prayer flags that waves along with direction of winds making it an ideal place amidst the nature to take a break from 3 hr journey and have lunch while enjoying the beautiful view of Mt Kanchenjunga or take stroll in the well manicured garden within the village. Even you can trek up through the pine forest to witness the beautiful lake over the hill. This place will surely to rejuvenate you for the rest of your journey. Continue your journey towards Darjeeling and now it’s only 23 km to go from Lamahata. After arriving at Darjeeling you will check into the hotel. Now it is your exclusive time. Early morning 3 point sightseeing commence on the day. First point is Tiger Hill. World’s one of the best thing will happen to you when you witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill. The changing colours of Mt. Kanchenjunga surely will leave you mesmerised. Then you will proceed to visit old Ghoom monastery one of the oldest Tibetan monasteries built in Darjeeling. After getting back to your hotel have your breakfast and gear up for second round sightseeing. First you will visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute where you can see the climbing walls and a museum filled with artefacts and gears used by Tenzing Norgay for his first expedition to Mt Everest. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is your second destination. You may see for the first time snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard and Red Panda over here. Are you an adventurer from your inner heart? Darjeeling visit is incomplete without seeing the lush green tea garden rolling over the hills. Cable car or the Ropeway is another attraction of the day for you.
